TRNC Police Intensify Operations Against Illegal Residency
In the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, police are actively conducting operations to address the issue of illegal residency, with checks being carried out nationwide.
Over the past six months, these thorough inspections have revealed that a total of 716 individuals were residing in the country without proper authorization.
Police teams are routinely conducting inspections to uphold security and public order. During these operations, measures against individuals living without a residence permit are consistently enforced. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those identified as living illegally.
Authorities have stressed the importance of adhering to the country’s entry and residence requirements and have indicated that inspections will continue to intensify. They have also urged citizens to report any illegal residents they may be aware of.
