Tragic Deaths in Iskele and Gazimagusa
Police report tragic death of Olushola Osunma in Iskele and sudden death of Coskun Gümüstas in Gazimagusa. Investigations continue.
The police bulletin today reported two tragic events: a suicide and a sudden death.
NIGERIAN NATIONAL
At approximately 7:30 AM, 34-year-old Olushola Samson Osunma, a resident of Iskele, was found to have taken his own life.
2ND TRAGEDY
Additionally, the bulletin reported that 52-year-old Coskun Gümüstas, a resident of Gazimagusa, was discovered dead in his home yesterday afternoon. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was a heart attack.
The police also announced the results of two other recent autopsies. Emine Koçin, aged 63, who passed away in Degirmenlik on July 21, was determined to have died from complications related to heart disease, operated endometrial cancer, heart failure, and a heart attack
ELECTROCUTED WHILE WORKING
The cause of death for 38-year-old Murat Calli was also reported. Calli sustained severe injuries from an electric shock while performing electrical work in a decorative pool at a hotel in Iskele on July 13.
He succumbed to his injuries on July 21 at the Lefkosa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital, where he was receiving treatment. The autopsy concluded that his death was due to “the passing of electric current through the body, resulting in circulatory and respiratory arrest.”
Investigations into all these incidents are ongoing.
