Teknecik Power Plant Restores Generator 8 After 4 Years Inactive
The faulty generator number eight at Teknecik Power Plant has been successfully put back into operation after 4 years out of service.
This achievement is the result of Prime Minister Ünal Üstel’s efforts to address frequent power outages, along with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, which facilitated the arrival of a team from the Turkish Electricity Generation Corporation (EUAŞ) to the island.
Generator number 8, which had been out of service for an extended period at Teknecik Power Plant, was reactivated today.
The Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Lefkoşa previously announced that it was decided to send the power plant, with a production capacity of 25 MW, to the TRNC with the assistance of EUAŞ, including the restoration of generator number 8.
