An assassination attempt was made on former US President and Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
President Ersin Tatar strongly condemned the attack, stating, “I strongly condemn the assassination attempt on former US President and presidential candidate Mr. Donald Trump while he was speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania. I offer my best wishes to Mr. Trump, who survived the assassination with minor injuries, and to the American people.”
President Tatar emphasized, “No matter what the reason, violence, and assassination are never acceptable. We must all work together to eliminate violence and terror, which are among the most significant threats to humanity. It is crucial that we take a united stand against those who resort to terror and violence.”
He added, “I believe that US democracy will heal this wound in a short time and that the US Presidential elections will be held in a democratic environment, free from the influence of any kind of attack and suspicion.”
