CBRT Maintains Policy Rate at 50% Amid Rising Dollar
The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) has maintained its policy rate at 50%, marking the fifth consecutive month without a change.
Since the beginning of the month, the Turkish Lira has depreciated by 1.9% against the dollar. The Dollar/TL exchange rate reached a new high of 33.89.
Market risk appetite has increased due to expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will soon cut interest rates.
The minutes from the Fed’s July monetary policy meeting are set to be released tomorrow, providing investors with potential insights into future interest rate policy.
