Car Wash Costs in TRNC Skyrocket to 500 TL

TRNC car wash prices soar from 50 TL to 300-500 TL due to rising inflation, making basic services a luxury.

The challenging economic situation in the TRNC, coupled with rising inflation, have led to significant price increases across various sectors, including the car wash industry.

Previously, the cost of a car wash was 50 TL. However, recent price hikes have elevated the minimum fee to 300 TL and the maximum to 500 TL.

A survey of different car wash services, such as those at petrol stations, private facilities, and mobile car wash services, reveals that prices now range from 300 TL to 500 TL.

Mobile car wash services charge between 400 TL and 450 TL for washing saloon cars, and between 450 TL and 500 TL for jeep-type vehicles.

For drivers who visit car wash facilities, the minimum cost is 300 TL, while washing only the exterior of the vehicle starts at 250 TL.

Self-service car wash stations at petrol stations have also seen a steep increase. What once cost 1 TL for a water and foam device now costs 60 TL.

This escalation in prices has transformed a basic service into a luxury, posing an additional challenge for vehicle owners.
