Council of Ministers Bars Entry for 7, Declares Two as Prohibited Immigrants, Including Red-Notice Gang Leader and ‘Yahoo Boy’.
Seven foreign nationals have been banned from entering the country, and two individuals have been declared prohibited immigrants.
The decisions made by the Council of Ministers on August 21 were published in the Official Gazette yesterday.
Individuals banned from entering the TRNC:
- Ismail Abdo, born on June 3, 1990: Wanted by Interpol for leading a drug gang based in Sweden.
- Mattias Joakim Boser, Swedish national, born in Skansfagerh on July 20, 1977: Reason for the ban not specified.
- Muhammed Ikbal Togrulca, born in Malatya on September 23, 1997: Registered as a student, but discovered to be involved in organizing various crimes and money laundering activities in the TRNC.
- Cem Ozan Baran, born in Malatya on September 25, 1993: Registered as a student, but found to be organizing various crimes and engaging in money laundering activities in the TRNC.
- Ibrahim Bastürk, born in Malatya on January 7, 2002: Registered as a student, but involved in organizing various crimes and money laundering activities in the TRNC.
- Tiange Wang, born in Hebei on July 7, 1981: Wanted by Interpol with a Red Notice in the People’s Republic of China.
- Guokang Yang, born in Sichuan on February 23, 1986: Involved in illegal online betting and gambling, provided financial support for these activities, and profited from unregulated Forex activities in the TRNC.
Individuals declared as prohibited immigrants:
- Henry Chukwuebuka Onodigbo, born on May 10, 1999, in Abuja, Nigerian national: Found to be a member of the “Yahoo Boys” fraud gang and involved in various internet fraudulent activities.
- John Ellis Amor, born in Hull on July 29, 1962, British national: Reason for the status not specified.
These individuals have been banned from entry and/or declared prohibited immigrants according to Article 6, paragraph (1), subparagraph (g) and/or Article 7 of Chapter 105 of the Law on Aliens and Immigration. This action is based on security reports submitted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and/or the General Directorate of Police.
As per the decision, these individuals will not be allowed to enter the country.
