President Biden withdraws from the 2024 election, citing the nation’s best interests. Trump responds with a fierce critique.

U.S. President Joe Biden has announced that he is withdrawing his candidacy for the upcoming presidential election scheduled for November 5, 2024.

In a written statement shared on his social media account, President Biden expressed his decision, emphasizing that it was made in the best interests of the nation and the Democratic Party. “Although I would like to be re-elected, I believe it would be in the best interests of my party and my country to withdraw,” Biden stated.

Reflecting on his tenure, Biden pointed out the significant progress made under his administration over the past three and a half years. “We have preserved and protected our democracy,” he noted.

Trump’s Response

Shortly after President Biden’s announcement, Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump responded with a scathing critique.

“He is the worst president in the history of our country. He will go down in the history of our country as the worst president by far. It will be easier to beat Vice President Harris than Biden,” Trump remarked.

As the nation absorbs this unexpected development, the political landscape is set for a dramatic shift leading up to the November election.
