Orange Warning for Extreme Heatwave in Cyprus
Expect soaring temperatures of up to 43°C inland and 37°C along the coast this week. Orange warning issued for extreme heat conditions.
The air temperature in across the island is projected to reach around 43 °C in the interior and 37 °C along the coast throughout the week.
According to the Meteorology Department’s weekly weather forecast, the weather will be predominantly clear with some partly cloudy periods, and fog is expected in certain areas during the morning hours on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Inland areas are anticipated to experience the highest temperatures, ranging from 40 °C to 43 °C, while coastal regions will see temperatures between 34 °C and 37 °C.
Winds will generally be moderate, blowing from the south and west.
Orange Warning Tomorrow
An orange warning for excessively high temperatures has been issued for Saturday, with inland temperatures expected to reach 43 °C and highs of 32 °C in the mountainous regions.
